MSc in Technology Project Management
Course Overview
The MSc in Technology Project Management is a UK Level 7 postgraduate degree running one year full-time or two years part-time. It prepares senior practitioners to lead complex UK technology programmes end to end, from business case through delivery, benefits realisation and closure. Content is aligned with APM, PMI, PRINCE2 and CMI frameworks.
By graduation you will be running programme boards, negotiating with sponsors, and closing with a dissertation, capstone or sponsor consulting project on a live technology programme.
UK delivery practice is shaped by APM, PMI, PRINCE2 and CMI conventions, and by everyday assurance expectations from Whitehall, City delivery groups and regulated employers.
The MSc or MEng assessment model blends coursework, applied artefacts and a closing dissertation or sponsor consulting project. Marks are moderated to UK Level 7 postgraduate standards.
Postgraduate cohorts are small and research-adjacent, with paper-reading groups, structured critique and one-to-one supervision meetings. Every student is matched to a supervisor for the dissertation stage during induction.
The taught stage is intense and structured, and the dissertation stage is well scaffolded through research-methods training, ethics review and structured supervision meetings.
