Course Overview

The Certificate in Global Business Awareness at LSIBM is a foundation programme in the Business & Management faculty, aimed at people whose UK employer has suddenly acquired an international angle — a new export customer, a supplier moved offshore, a parent company across the Channel, or a first foreign hire. It teaches how global business actually works in a UK context, from Incoterms 2020 basics through to cross-cultural etiquette that stops the deal falling over on a video call.

Delivered across three to six months, the certificate covers cross-border trade terms, FX awareness, cultural difference, sanctions basics and the daily mechanics of running a small international relationship. Entry Requirements

• Open access — GCSE-level English and Mathematics at grade 4/C (or international equivalent) is the working baseline.
• Applicants over 18 are welcome regardless of prior qualifications, provided a short statement of intent is submitted.
• IELTS 5.5 overall (no band below 5.0) for non-native English speakers, or an equivalent test at CEFR B2.
• Two personal references — one professional, one academic; work-based references accepted for career changers.
