BSc in Business Development
Course Overview
The BSc in Business Development at LSIBM is a three-year UK honours degree written for people who want to build careers as commercial leaders in UK B2B, SaaS and scale-up businesses. Sitting in the Entrepreneurship & Executive Studies faculty, it combines the core business curriculum with a business-development specialism — commercial strategy, growth economics, enterprise selling, negotiation and partnership design.
You will complete a commercial placement year in year two (a UK SaaS scale-up, a professional-services firm, or a mid-market B2B), sit an APS Level 5-aligned commercial capstone in year three, and defend a full growth-strategy dissertation in front of a working commercial director. The BSc in Business Development is available on-campus in central London, fully online with cohort calls scheduled across UK and APAC time zones, and by distance learning from 2026.
Key Features
- Curriculum reviewed against APS Level 5-6 and CMI Level 6 competencies.
- Three study modes — central London campus, fully online with UK / APAC cohort calls, or distance learning.
- Placement year at a UK SaaS scale-up, professional-services firm or B2B group.
- Live pipeline and partnership briefs every year.
- Dissertation supervised by a working commercial director.
- Final-year growth-strategy capstone reviewed by a UK VC or PE-backed CEO.
