About London School of Law, Politics & Economics

LSLPE graduates on the steps of a central London courthouse

The London School of Law, Politics and Economics (LSLPE), a specialist division of Harold International College of London, exists to educate graduates for the professions that write, argue and constrain public policy. Programmes span the Bar, chambers, civil service, think tanks, consultancies, central banks and international bodies — at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional level.

Our starting position is that law, politics and economics cannot be studied in isolation. Legislation is drafted by lawyers, argued by politicians, and constrained by economists. LSLPE curricula are built around that integration. Every programme trains you in all three disciplines — with depth in the one you choose to specialise in — and every assessment expects you to reason across them.

Faculty are practising barristers, policy advisers, civil servants and City economists — people who are still doing the work they teach. Placements run through Whitehall, chambers, Parliament, think tanks and international NGOs. Our graduates leave able to prepare a case, brief a minister, model a policy trade-off, and hold their own in front of both a bench and a select committee.
