BSc in Global Business Management
Course Overview
The BSc in Global Business Management at LSIBM is a three-year UK honours degree written for people who want to build careers running international programmes for UK multinationals, exporters and scale-ups. Sitting in the Business & Management faculty, it combines the core business curriculum with a global-business specialism — internationalisation theory, cross-cultural leadership, trade finance and global operations.
You will complete a global-business placement year in year two (a UK exporter, a London subsidiary of an overseas HQ, or a country desk), select an optional language strand, and defend a full international strategy dissertation in front of a working regional director. The BSc in Global Business Management is available on-campus in central London, fully online with cohort calls scheduled across UK and APAC time zones, and by distance learning from 2026.
Key Features
- Curriculum reviewed against IOE&IT, CMI and CIM international competencies.
- Three study modes — central London campus, fully online with UK / APAC cohort calls, or distance learning.
- Placement year with a UK exporter, subsidiary, or country desk.
- Optional language strand — Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic or French.
- Live cross-border consulting briefs in every year.
- Dissertation supervised by a working regional director.
What You Will Learn
The degree teaches global business management as it is actually practised inside UK multinationals — through language, culture, treasury, compliance and the operating rhythm of a country desk. You finish able to run an early-career international programme.
- Internationalisation theory — Uppsala, Eclectic paradigm, born-global firms.
- Global operating models — matrix, hub-and-spoke, functional.
- Cross-cultural leadership — Hofstede, GLOBE, Trompenaars.
- Trade finance and UK Export Finance schemes.
- Foreign exchange, treasury and international financial management.
- International HR, global mobility and expat policy.
- Sanctions, export controls, anti-bribery and Modern Slavery Act.
- Global marketing and brand globalisation under CIM practice.
- Sustainable global business and Scope 3 responsibilities.
- Research methods and dissertation craft.

Career Pathways

- International Business Manager
- Country Analyst (Junior)

The BSc in Global Business Management is the natural step onto the MSc in Global Business Management or the IOE&IT Level 6-7 route.

- GCSE English Language at grade 5/C and Mathematics at grade 4/C (or equivalent).
- IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) for non-native English speakers.

Why Study at LSIBM
The London School of International Business and Management (LSIBM) is a specialist business-education provider based in central London and part of Harold International College. Undergraduate cohorts sit in small groups so every student is visible to their tutor, run a single intake schedule students can rely on, and every degree route is reviewed against UK professional-body competencies — ACCA, CIMA, CIM, CIPD, CMI, CIPS, CFA UK and IOE&IT — so graduates carry a credential that City recruiters engage with.
London puts the City, Canary Wharf, Whitehall, Companies House, the FCA, the Bank of England and the West End within a short tube ride of every classroom. Undergraduate students access a fortnightly practitioner clinic, at least one industry-careers day per academic year, a structured placement route and one-to-one application coaching in the final year.
