BSc in Global Supply Chain Management
Course Overview
The BSc in Global Supply Chain Management at LSIBM is a three-year UK honours degree written for people who want to build careers running international supply chains for UK exporters, importers, retailers and manufacturers. Sitting in the International Business & Trade faculty, it combines the core business curriculum with a supply-chain specialism — procurement, logistics, customs, resilience and sustainability.
You will complete a supply-chain placement year in year two (a UK 3PL, a mid-market exporter or a category-management team), sit a CIPS Level 4-aligned procurement capstone in year three, and defend a full supply-chain-strategy dissertation in front of a working head of supply chain. The BSc in Global Supply Chain Management is available on-campus in central London, fully online with cohort calls scheduled across UK and APAC time zones, and by distance learning from 2026.
Key Features
- Curriculum reviewed against CIPS, CILT and BIFA competencies.
- Three study modes — central London campus, fully online with UK / APAC cohort calls, or distance learning.
- Placement year with a UK 3PL, exporter or category team.
- Live supply-chain briefs — sourcing, customs, resilience — every year.
- Dissertation supervised by a working head of supply chain.
- Final-year supply-chain-strategy capstone reviewed by a UK freight director.
What You Will Learn
The degree teaches global supply chain as it lands after the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement, the Border Target Operating Model, and a decade of resilience shocks. You finish able to write a defensible resilience plan and negotiate a supplier contract.
- Supply-chain strategy — network design, sourcing, distribution.
- Procurement — category strategy, sourcing events, negotiation.
- Customs and trade — Incoterms 2020, tariff engineering, AEO status.
- Freight modes — sea, air, road, rail — and mode-choice economics.
- Resilience — dual-source, near-shore, buffer economics, geopolitical risk.
- Sustainability — Scope 3, CBAM, modern-slavery duties.
- Digital supply chain — control towers, digital twins, IoT tracking.
- Operations management and continuous improvement.
- Ethics — sanctions, anti-bribery, human-rights due diligence.
- Research methods and dissertation craft.

- GCSE English Language at grade 5/C and Mathematics at grade 4/C (or equivalent).
- IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) for non-native English speakers.

Why Study at LSIBM
The London School of International Business and Management (LSIBM) is a specialist business-education provider based in central London and part of Harold International College. Undergraduate cohorts sit in small groups so every student is visible to their tutor, run a single intake schedule students can rely on, and every degree route is reviewed against UK professional-body competencies — ACCA, CIMA, CIM, CIPD, CMI, CIPS, CFA UK and IOE&IT — so graduates carry a credential that City recruiters engage with.
London puts the City, Canary Wharf, Whitehall, Companies House, the FCA, the Bank of England and the West End within a short tube ride of every classroom. Undergraduate students access a fortnightly practitioner clinic, at least one industry-careers day per academic year, a structured placement route and one-to-one application coaching in the final year.
