Master in Economics and Management Studies

Master in Economics and Management Studies at HICL

The Master in Economics and Management Studies is for people who want both the analytical discipline of economics and the practical concerns of management on one degree. It is calibrated for graduates and working professionals who plan to move into consulting, policy, strategy or senior commercial roles where you are expected to interpret data and make a business case at the same time.

If you are tired of choosing between a 'pure' economics master and a 'soft' MBA-style management qualification, the Master in Economics and Management Studies is designed for exactly that gap.

Why the combined lens matters

An economist who has never read an operating budget produces elegant analysis that nobody can use. A general manager who has never read an econometric study makes decisions on instinct that look weak under scrutiny. Real strategic work draws on both, and most senior commercial and policy roles eventually demand both. The Master in Economics and Management Studies treats the combination as its central proposition rather than as an afterthought.

Who This Master Is For

• Graduates with bachelor's degrees in economics, business or related social sciences.
• Consultants and analysts wanting a structured postgraduate credential to underpin client work.
• Policy professionals in government or NGOs moving into senior analytical roles.
• Managers in commercial roles needing economic depth to support strategic planning.
