Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Master of Business Administration at Harold International College of London

Most people don't pursue an MBA because they want a piece of paper. They do it because somewhere between five and ten years into their career, they hit a ceiling - and the only way through is a broader, sharper, more strategic view of how businesses actually work. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Harold International College of London is built for that moment.

This is a postgraduate degree-level programme aimed at working professionals, mid-career managers, family-business successors and entrepreneurs who want to make the leap from "managing things" to "running businesses." It pulls together the core management disciplines - strategy, finance, marketing, operations, organisational leadership - into a single, integrated qualification you can complete on-campus in London, fully online, or through distance learning while you carry on working.

Who the MBA Is For

You'll get the most from this MBA if any of these describe you:

• You're already a manager or team lead and want the credibility (and the toolkit) to move into senior leadership.
• You're switching industries and need the MBA as your "passport" - the signal that you understand business broadly, not just your old function.
• You're building or about to build your own business and want a structured way to fill the gaps in your knowledge.
• You're an international professional looking for a UK-recognised postgraduate qualification you can use globally.

What an MBA Actually Does for Your Career

It doesn't, by itself, get you promoted - but it removes the most common reason people are passed over: a perceived lack of breadth. After this MBA you have a defensible answer when a board, a hiring panel or an investor asks you to talk about strategy, financial performance, operating models or organisational change.

In practical terms, MBA graduates from HICL tend to move into roles such as Operations Manager, Strategy Lead, Business Development Director, Senior Consultant, Founder/CEO of their own venture, or a step up within their current organisation. The qualification is internationally portable - useful if you plan to work outside the UK after graduation.

How the Programme Is Structured

The MBA at HICL covers the full breadth of postgraduate business education: strategic management, financial accounting and decision-making, marketing and brand strategy, operations and supply chain, leadership and people, and a capstone strategy project. Exact module structure, assessment formats and the intake calendar are confirmed at enrolment by the academic team - get in touch and we'll walk you through the most current syllabus.

Entry Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.
• Typically two or more years of professional work experience (relevant experience without a degree is considered case-by-case).
• IELTS 6.0 or equivalent for non-native English speakers.
• A short personal statement explaining why you want the MBA and what you intend to do with it.
