UK Higher Diploma in Leisure and Recreation Management (Varies-69)

UK Higher Diploma in Leisure and Recreation Management (Varies-69) at HICL

Leisure venues look simple from the outside and tangled from the inside. Programming, staff rotas, safety, customer flow, capital maintenance, events and ever-tighter budgets all sit on top of each other. The UK Higher Diploma in Leisure and Recreation Management (Varies-69) is designed for the people who actually run that knot day to day - duty managers, supervisors and the next generation of venue managers.

This sits above Diploma level, on the supervisory and junior-manager track. The UK Higher Diploma in Leisure and Recreation Management (Varies-69) suits people already working in leisure centres, sports facilities, wellness venues or community recreation, who want a formal qualification to match the responsibility they are carrying.

What managing a venue actually involves

You will work across leisure facility operations, customer experience, health and safety, programming, event planning, supplier and contractor management, sales and membership management, and the basics of finance for venue managers. Wellness and inclusion thinking sit alongside, because modern leisure programming has to reach communities that historically have not been well served by traditional sport.

Who This Higher Diploma Is For

• Duty managers and supervisors in leisure centres or sports facilities.
• Wellness, gym and community recreation staff aiming for venue manager roles.
• Hospitality professionals moving across into leisure and recreation venues.
• Career changers from operations or customer service entering the leisure industry.
