Accredited Institutions & Verification
Institutional accreditation and external evaluation for eligible educational institutions. Verification status is confirmed directly by the HIAC office until the public register is populated.
Confirming an institution's accreditation status
Search or ask
Once the register is published, an institution can be looked up by name or accreditation number. Until then, verification requests go directly to the HIAC office.
HIAC confirms status
The HIAC office checks the institution against its accreditation records and confirms the current status, category, and period of any award.
You receive a written confirmation
A confirmation is issued in writing, referencing the accreditation record, so it can be relied upon and shared.
Check a recorded status
Search by institution name or accreditation number. The register is not yet populated, so no institution will currently be found — contact the HIAC office for a confirmed status.
No institutions are currently listed
The public register will list accredited institutions, their category, and accreditation status as accreditation decisions are recorded. Check back as the framework becomes active.
Need to confirm an institution's status?
The HIAC office can confirm a recorded accreditation status directly while the public register is being built.
