BSc in Digital Branding
Course Overview
If you want to run a digital brand for a UK challenger, a scale-up or a London-based creative agency, the BSc in Digital Branding at the London School of International Business and Management (LSIBM) is built for you. Sitting in the Marketing, Media & Digital Business faculty, this three-year honours degree combines the core business curriculum with digital brand identity, content strategy, community management, brand analytics and the working CIM brand-management practice.
You will complete an agency or client-side placement year, produce a live brand-refresh brief in year two with a UK scale-up or SME, and defend a final-year capstone brand-strategy document in front of a working CIM-registered brand director. The BSc in Digital Branding is available on-campus in central London, fully online with UK / APAC cohort calls, and by distance learning from 2026.
Key Features
- Curriculum reviewed against CIM, Digital Marketing Institute and Design Business Association competencies, so the credential lands with UK employers.
- Three study modes — central London campus, fully online with UK / APAC cohort calls, or distance learning.
- Agency or client-side placement year at a London creative agency, in-house brand team or UK scale-up.
- Live brand-refresh brief from a UK scale-up or SME each cohort.
- Brand-analytics module covering brand-tracker design, sentiment analysis and share-of-voice metrics.
- Final-year capstone brand-strategy document defended in front of a working CIM-registered brand director.
What You Will Learn
The degree organises digital branding around the working questions a modern brand team actually faces: what does the brand stand for, how does it show up across channels, how do we measure whether the identity system is working, and how do we defend a refresh to a founder or marketing director on a Tuesday morning.
- Brand strategy — positioning, archetype work, brand-purpose frameworks.
- Digital brand identity — logotype, colour, typography, motion, sonic branding.
- Brand systems — design tokens, component libraries, brand-guideline governance.
- Content strategy — editorial pillars, content calendars, distribution mapping.
- Community and social — platform-native brand voice, community management, creator collaborations.
- Brand analytics — brand tracker design, share-of-voice, sentiment, awareness metrics.
- Digital advertising for brands — programmatic, paid social, connected TV.
- Brand experience in digital products — web, app and email brand consistency.
- Brand ethics, ASA rules and the Advertising Codes (CAP and BCAP).
- Capstone brand-strategy document on an original brand question.
